Dina Lurje was appointed a member of the Competition Council of the Republic of Lithuania for the tenure of six years starting on 3 May 2016. Prior to the promotion, Ms Lurje had been working in the Anti-Competitive Agreements Investigation Division for five years, four of them as the Head of Division.
Ms Lurje graduated with a Master of Laws degree from the University of Vilnius and studied law in the University of Zaragoza, Spain as part of an exchange program. She continued law studies at King‘s College London in the United Kingdom where she obtained an LL.M. degree in Competition Law in 2010.
Before joining the Competition Council, Ms Lurje worked as a lawyer at the law firm Lideika, Petrauskas, Valiūnas ir partneriai LAWIN and at the European Commission, Directorate General for Competition. She spent 2012–2013 working at the US Federal Trade Commission Bureau of Competition.
Ms Lurje is frequently invited as a guest speaker to national and international competition events. Fluent in English, Russian and Spanish.
